Scrúfadh sé croí an duine
Fréamhaítar túir lofa i seile
Scread a scrúd mo chroí
Mo mhallacht ar daille an chraois
Cuirtear drochnimh ar fréamh agus ar géag
Comhaontú idir sotalach agus aineolas
Nádúr a bhagairt, Dúlra a ionsaí
Ár ndealga amháin fós in ár gcosaint
Nach neamhthuiscint an mhaise duit
Ag obair go díon, ag tochailt go tapa
Fuil dhubh ag sní
Níl sí ag sileadh braon ar braon…
ach i dtuilte
It is more than flesh and blood can stand
Rotten towers are rooted in spit
A scream that pierced my heart
I curse the blindness of greed
Rank poison is spat on root and branch
A marriage of arrogance and ignorance
Threatening Nature, attacking life
Only our thorns remain to protect
What lack of comprehension you have
Working earnestly, digging quickly
Black blood flowing
Not in drops
but in floods

…na Lámha sa
Ro loiscit na lámasa,
ro coiscit na gnímasa,
do-chúaid tuile, táinic tráig,
coro báid na brígasa.
A-tlochor don Dúilemain,
fúar sochor co sáirmedair,
fata mo lá i m-bethaid trúaig,
ro bá úair co h-áillemail.
Ropsam áille airechta,
fúar mná táide tabarta,
ní tláith a-tú ic tríall don bith,
ro scáich mo rith rabarta.
In brúarán becc brisisiu
don trúagán trúag troiscthisea,
mír ar cloich de, mír ar cnáim,
mír ar in láim loiscthisea.
These hands have been withered,
these deeds have been prevented,
flood has gone, ebb has come
and has destroyed these powers.
I thank the Creator that I
have had profit with great joy,
long is my day in wretched life,
once I was beautiful.
I was the fairest in an assembly,
I have enjoyed wanton women who would give,
not weakly am I journeying from the world,
my springtide course has ended.
The little heap of fragments
you break for this wretched fasting wretch,
a morsel of it is on a stone, a morsel on a bone,
a morsel on this withered hand.

Dall
Deirtear fuath i ngach áit
Athraíonn sé an domhan
Cuimhní cúnga
Léirscrios leathan
Múintear sean machnamh
Caolaínn sé ár n-intinní
Trí anord comhthéacs, ama is spáis
Leanaimid creidimh cumhachta is báis
Leanaimid go dall
Dall go deo
Hatred is spoken in every place
It changes the world
Narrow minds
Broad destruction
There is a teaching of old thoughts
It narrows our minds
Through a chaos of context, time and space
We follow creeds of power and death
We follow blindly
Forever blind

Ár réim saoil
Ag sú lí ón Ghrian
Ár n-anamacha ag loscadh go dian
An scracadh chun maireachtála
Ag dul ar an mórshlua
Fréamhacha atá ina thost
Ag lorg an tsolais
Greamaithe síos sa chré
I ngéibheann san talamh
Fréamhacha ina thost, ag greamú na cré
Foighneach
Stoc ag tosnú an tsuain geimhridh
Ag coimeád a neart
Géaga atá tar eis a samhlaíocht a thabhairt
Fuil croí ag moilliú trid a gcorp
’a bheith ullamh
Craobhacha ag briseadh as a chéile
Ag fulaingt leis an t-easnamh
Duilleoga ag titim, ag seargadh
Ag saothrú an bháis
Geimhreadh ag teacht, íontóir easaontais
An bheatha ag coinneáil a h-anáil istigh
An scracadh chun maireachtála
Ag sú lí ón ghrian
Ár n-anamacha i réim
Ár ndóchas faoi bhláth
Ár réim saoil
Ag ceiliúradh i measc na réaltaí
Ag tabhairt samhlaíochta
Ag damhsa leis na gealta
Our earthly course
Drinking colour from the Sun
Our spirits withering severely
The struggle for life
Going the way of all flesh
Roots that are silent
Seeking the light
Entangled in the clay
Imprisoned in the earth
Roots in silence, gripping the clay
Patient
Trunk begins the winter slumber
Conserving its strength
Limbs that have given forth their imagination
Life-blood slows along their length
In readiness
Branches shattering
Suffering from the lack
Leaves falling, withering
In the throes of death
Winter comes, cleanser of strife
All life holds its breath
The struggle for life
Drinking colour from the Sun
Our spirits flourish
Our hope in bloom
Our earthly course
Celebrating amongst the stars
Giving imagination
Dancing with the mad

Corr Mhóna Ireland
Corr Mhóna are a West Cork metal band. Their music is a blend of different
genres, with doom and death metal
elements more prominent.
Corr Mhóna sing entirely in the Irish language (Gaeilge), and use a
combination of harsh and cleanly sung vocals. They are inspired by many different bands and musical styles, and always attempt to combine these influences to create something new.
